Age Determination 

FALL 2024 Season

**EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2024 - BVGSA age classifications have CHANGED.  New age classification chart is below along with a link to USA Softball age calculator.**

Brazos Valley Girls Softball Association follows Age Classification set by USA Softball. USA Softball has implemented a classification system that classifies players according to their respective age. Below is a chart to help determine which division is appropriate for their age. Per BVGSA by-laws players may play up only one division from their classified division but may never play down from their classified division. If a player decides to play up, they may not move back down and they must complete the Playing Up Age Division Consent Form at registration. 

**A player's age as of August 31, 2024, determines the age in which the player is eligible to play the following year.**
